Here Cargill GmbH processes rapeseed to vegetable oil and coarse rape meal.
The plant consists of two areas: the oil mill and a refinery.
There are 51 employees working at this location.
The Mainz location was established in 1962 by Jb Schmidt Söhne. Only the oil mill operated for the first couple of years,
refinery operations began in 1986. In 1990 the Belgian Vandermoortele Group acquired Jb Schmidt
Söhne as well as the plants in Hamburg and Riesa.
The business was required by Cargill in 1998.
We produce raw and refined rapeseed oil as well as rape−extraction from meal.
